Middle East Smart Water Utilities 2022

The Middle East Smart Water Utilities 2022 takes place on 12th to 13th of October 2022 in Dubai, UAE, and Oxford Flow Brendan Hegerty will be guest speaker there. Brendan will be on the Georg Fischer Piping systems (GFPS) stand – a strategic partner of Oxford Flow and whom sell products into the utility water & wastewater sector.

Water demand has risen due to rapid urbanisation and pressures across water networks have been affected by climate change and an aging infrastructure. As organisations face new regulations and leakage targets, the challenges to better control, efficiently manage and improve water networks intensifies. In a ‘digital water age’ there are some interesting new technologies, and the conference provides an ideal opportunity to discuss the issues as well as explore technical solutions.

The key focus for this year’s conference will be to “efficiently manage and reduce water leakage”, and the objective will be to bring water utilities and network services together with leading industry experts.

This event should benefit international water utilities, water service companies, smart technology providers, and key stakeholders eager to develop their water networks and discover the latest technological developments to improve efficiencies and operations.

Brendan Hegerty featured speaker

Brendan Hegerty is Oxford Flow’s Global Head of Water & Strategic Partnerships. He has over 15 years’ experience in the UK water industry and an authoritative figure in the sector. During his speech he will discuss 2 key products:

Oxford Flow Intelligent Water Valve

Oxford Flow Water Turbine Generator

Both these products have gained media interest in their ability to save organisations money and provide an essential means to better understand water loss through their water networks.

Environtech article, ‘Holes in the bucket – finding leaks in the distribution network.’ may be of interest to you as it explains how the Intelligent Water Valve and Water Turbine Generator can be used to provide critical network performance information and identify leakage. The article also explains how the innovative, custom designed, lightweight water turbine can also be a useful addition and used to generate a power source for the system.

Our valve technology caters for a range of industry sectors and Brendan will be able to discuss issues you currently face and help recommend solutions that these may be able to help resolve.
